Guest speaker

Dec. 9, 2002, Latin hosted Kevin MacNeil, Director of Studies and Master Instructor
in English at The Culver Academies, for a two-hour workshop on character education.
Dr. MacNeil's research interests include moral development, curriculum reform,
and the relationship between the two. He spoke to Latin's teachers about character
and leadership programs at Culver, which are now in a four-year implementation
phase. The programs include a leadership component for students as well as training
in critical thinking for teachers.
